Sarah Powers Webb
Sarah Webb graduated with a bachelor of arts major in religion and a minor in German from Earlham College. She spent time as a foreign exchange student in both Mexico and Germany. After college she became a certified meeting planner while working in the Conference and Catering department for the Gannett Company and USA Today headquarters. Later, as meeting planner for The Nature Conservancy, she planned meetings for the board of directors and scientists. Throughout this time, she wrote occasional articles for both company in-house magazines.
Realizing a long-held ambition, she obtained an M.A.T. degree in education from Johns Hopkins University. She feels her prior work helps her bring enthusiasm about the world into her classroom for her students. Sarah enjoys helping students of all ages find their passions and develop their skills. Although born in Kansas, she has lived in many states. She currently calls southern Maryland home.
Sarah’s hobbies include quilting, art, genealogy, history, reading, kayaking, horseback riding and exploring new places.
